The NORTHSHORE – a place to enjoy the view of Setouchi Inland Sea

Following the slow-paced local life when traveling to a small city which has lots of natural views, always relax people inviting them to enjoy life. Trains coming every 20 minutes, few buses a day, when you encounter this kind of situation, all you can do is to be patient and slow down your own pace. However, only at this moment, you can look around and enjoy the scenery at that time.

NORTHSHORE is a coffee shop chain which has many branches in Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo. However, only in Shikoku, NORTHSHORE Kagawa, Ehime, and Tokushima shops are located along the Setouchi Inland Sea or the riverside. The places away from the city have some advantages, including the wide view and some lazy atmosphere.

The NORTHSHORE Kagawa is in the second floor of LIVLOV located nearby the Takamatsu port. It is only a 15 to 20 minutes by walk from JR Takamatsu station.

The NORTHSHORE has wide windows brightening the inside of the store. No matter where you are sitting your sight will be caught by the blue Setouchi Inland Sea. There are 60 indoor seats, but you will never feel cramped. Furthermore, NORTHSHORE has 26 outdoor seats for the people who would prefer to enjoy the sea breeze over the air conditioner.

Order a cup of coffee and sit beside the window to enjoy the view of Setouchi Inland Sea. If you visit the NORTHSHORE on a good day, it will be difficult to find a seat. Fortunately, I visited here on a drizzling day so only a few guests came. Although I cannot sit outdoor, I still appreciated the gorgeous sea view through the wide window. The greyish blue sea fulfilled my eyes. No sunshine, no problem stormy skies got their charms as well !

Even though the view are beautiful, do not forget that this place is also a gourmet cafe!

The meals in NORTHSHORE use many colorful vegetables and fresh fruits. Everyone will be surprised by the volume of the meal put on a board like a tray and overflowing with food. Besides, the meal is delicious and you can feel the original taste of the vegetables. In a snap, the meal is finished.

If you visit here after the lunch time, pancakes will be a good choice. Their pancakes are crispy outside and soft inside, with colorful fresh fruits and crunchy mixed nuts. No one can resist it, even the girl who care so much about calories.

If you are not hungry enough to finish a meal, or you would not like to order the pancake at first, maybe the fruit salad served with mashed potatoes is a good option.

Although it is was drizzling day, the beautiful sea view and tasty food bring me into a good mood. After the meal, the retro accessory store named Numero or the western style furniture shop named LIVLOV on the first floor will be the perfect place for wandering. If you are looking for a charming place where you can either enjoy a meal or shopping nearby the Setouchi Inland Sea, there is no other place than here.
